Song of the Elves OSRS Guide 2022
For 17 years, the biggest quest within Old School RuneScape history told an epic tale that involved Elves in the form of plagues, perilous Dungeons, Kings, tyranny and treasure, sick sheep, chompy birds and even puzzles. But it seemed like Mourning’s End Part II would be the end of this tale. For a quest that lasted from 2002-2005, it was not likely that we’d see an end to the Elf series.
However, in 2019 the quest came to a end through Song of the Elves, 5029 days, 165 months and 14 years after The Mourning’s Finale Part 2. It seemed like it was too good to be real that this actually occurred.
It was a shock to Runescape players when the final adventure in the Elf series was revealed at RuneFest 2018. After playing the game there was a question on everyone’s mind what was the point of the wait? If you’re planning to work until you reach the Song of the Elves, know you’re in for a delight.
Let’s look at the Elf series’s questline, as well as the requirements you need to meet in order to begin Song of the Elves. We’ll also walk you through Song of the Elves with some tips for getting through difficult sections.

Song of the Elves is the 8th and final mission from the Elves series of quests.
Your adventure began by making contact with Edmond, who asks you to save the daughter of his Elena from the city of Plague. With Elena you discovered that the disease that was said to be ravaging West Ardougne was a ruse invented by King Lathas in order to section off part of the West part of Ardougne. After speaking to King Lathas He explains that he did this to defend Gielinor against the Elves.
After completing Biohazard, King Lathas asks you to explore the Underground Pass to find Lord Iorwerth The King’s ally to help stop King Tyras who he suspects is seeking to revive The Dark Lord. When you locate Iorwerth, he is able to join forces with you and the King to commit Regicide. You stop Tyras’ evil after bombarding his camp in Tirannwn.
After returning to Lathas and you’re confronted by Arianwyn In Roving Elves Arianwyn, an elf rebel who is in opposition to Lord Iorwerth. Arianwyn explains how King Lathas, as well as Iorwerth are the evil ones who want to bring back their Dark Lord and Tyras was the only one to try to stop their plans.
As you go through Mourning’s End Part I, you are working alongside the Elven Rebellion to understand the real reason behind the plague. Together with the Rebellion discover that it was to hide that the Temple of Light, which is vital when summoning The Dark Lord. In Mourning’s Ended Part II you pay restitution for the murder of Tyras by halting Lathas’ and Iorwerths plants. They are sealed off the Death altar, stopping the Dark Lord from rising.
Within Song of the Elves, you’ll set your eyes back on King Lathas and Lord Iorwerth to face a final fight. After you take on your revenge and save Gielinor to the fullest extent possible.
Specific requirements to Song of the Elves
Before you can begin this quest Song of the Elves, there are many quests you need to complete in order to acquire the skills you’ll need to upgrade, and the items that you’ll need. Let’s get started.
Quests to Complete to Activate the Song of the Elves
To begin Song of the Elves, you’ll have to complete 7 additional quests within the Elf series and three other quests to activate the next quest within the Elf questline. If you’re unable to begin Song of the Elves, you’re probably not finished the other 13 quests down below.
You’re also required to finish The quest Making History to start Song of the Elves. To complete this quest, you’ll have to complete 2 additional quests prior to being able to begin Making History.
Ability Levels to be Attained to activate Song of the Elves

Recommended Equipment/Items in Song of the Elves
Most of the enemies encountered in Song of the Elves will have a lower level than your current level, therefore the primary focus of your loadout will be the boss at the end, Fragment of Seren. Since she’s weak to magic attacks, it’s important to have equipment that is focused on magic accuracy and strength.
Food and Healing Items Bring healing items and food into your battles and especially those in the Fragment of Seren. The Sharks as well as the Monkfish are among the best cooked healing items found in the game. Saradomin Brew and Super Restores should be included in your inventory and so on.
